Textile Artist
When working as a printed textile designer, colour was always the most important element to get right. I have been interested to see how my use of strong colours has evolved recently into using more neutral colours and seeing the subtle enriching I can achieve with the palest of tints.
Detail is something else which draws me to look. Paintings are a huge passion of mine.
Flemish, Dutch, French and Italian Renaissance painters, as well as modern masters such as Michael Armitage, David Hockney and many others give me great pleasure.
