My childhood, spent in an artistic family, meant that I was immersed in the worlds of watercolour and sculpture at an early age. This provided me with an avid interest in all things artistic.

I later became fascinated by fabric, colour and stitch, and am now an enthusiastic textile artist. My work spans the worlds of quilting and embroidery - often I combine the two.

For me, inspiration is everywhere: in the curve of a cup, in the unexpected juxtaposition of two colours, in the form of a leaf. I love to walk along the beach, frequently stopping to sketch and take photos, and am lucky to live in an area surrounded by water.

I have widely taught and lectured to adults (including City and Guilds Part II), and for nearly nine years taught art and textiles in a school at secondary level. I love people and helping them achieve their potential.
