Textile Artist
Sources of inspiration are many and varied; scraps of fabric and thread, the interaction between the man made world and the natural environment. An emotional response to stimuli results in work which is sometimes representational often abstract.
Retirement from teaching art, comparatively recently, has given me the mental space to develop my own ideas.
Love of materials is at the source of creativity; I am an energetic and somewhat obsessive hand stitcher.
As well as TAGS, I am a friend of Gainsborough’s House in Sudbury where I enjoy printmaking in the print workshop.
I occasionally teach adult classes and am available as a tutor in creative textiles.
