Beth Hendley

I have been involved with art and design all my life.  My B.A. in Printed Textiles from Birmingham led to freelance work as a textile designer in the fashion industry, selling my designs nationally and internationally.

The most powerful skill I have gained from my years of experience is my use of colour. I work with strong colour, using collage of fabric, always with attention to detail, sometimes very delicate.

I often dye my own fabrics and threads, and sometimes incorporate them with commercially produced silks and cottons, often finishing work with some detailed stitch.

I have led many community workshops, and this has led to fun projects with the National Trust, The Big Draw, local lottery funded initiatives, The Wildlife Trust, and local charities.
