Textile Artist
My primary focus is always colour. I spend a lot of time juxtaposing colours in order to achieve the effect I want.
I have used landscape as my subject matter, following on from the nuno landscapes I did previously.
When working as a printed textile designer, colour was always the most important element to get right.
I never tire of it. I love colour and colour excites me.
Detail is something else which draws me to look. Paintings are a huge passion of mine.
Flemish, Dutch, Italian, and French painters, all of many periods, as well as modern masters such as Michael Armitage, David Hockney, and many others give me very great pleasure.
